Marina Kim, a State Duma deputy from Fair Russia, proposed introducing special tax conditions for women who combine entrepreneurial activities with raising children, Izvestia found out. The bill has been sent for review to the Government.

"Having a child should not mean giving up professional development and financial independence. The state is obliged to create conditions under which motherhood becomes an opportunity, not a risk," Marina Kim told Izvestia.

The document provides for amendments to Article 346.20 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation and grants regions the right to set reduced rates under the simplified taxation system for small and medium-sized businesses established by women. We are talking about entrepreneurs registered as individual entrepreneurs, as well as female founders of legal entities who own at least a 50% stake in the company and perform the functions of the sole executive body.

Women who raise children under the age of seven will be able to take advantage of tax benefits. For them, the regions will be able to set reduced tax rates: from 1% to 6% for the "income" tax object and from 5% to 15% for the "income minus expenses" object. Specific criteria for the application of benefits and a list of activities are expected to be determined at the Government level.

On February 16, Dmitry Shumeyko, a tax consultant, told how families with children can repay part of the taxes paid in 2025. He explained that the key condition for receiving the payment is the payment of personal income tax in 2025, that is, official employment. The self-employed and sole proprietors in special conditions do not fall under it.
