Mazda dropped out of the top ten Russian market for the first time this year

Last week, the Mazda brand did not get into the top ten leaders of the Russian car market in terms of sales of new passenger cars, and this happened for the first time since the beginning of 2026. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on March 23.

In the period from March 16 to March 22, 462 new Mazda cars were registered, which is 6% less than a week earlier. At the same time, all brands that are in the top 10 have recorded an increase in sales. Mazda took 11th place in the rating. For comparison, according to the results of the first two months of this year, this brand took the sixth place in sales in the Russian Federation.

Lada traditionally occupies the first position, with sales of 5,702 vehicles per week (+17%). Next are Haval (3,437 units; +15%) and Tenet (2,332 units; +17%), followed by Geely (1,487 units; +27%) and Belgee (1,126 units; +30%).

The other brands from the top 10, which were supplemented by Changan, Toyota, Jaecoo, Jetour and Solaris, had sales of less than 1 thousand copies. At the same time, sales at Jaecoo grew the most in the top 10 - by 44%.

Earlier, on March 12, it was reported that in the first two months of 2026, sales of global brand cars in Russia increased 2.5 times (+148%) and amounted to 24.4 thousand units. Moreover, every fifth customer chose a Chinese-built Mazda CX-5 crossover.
