The administration of US President Donald Trump aims to turn the conflict in the Middle East into a "virtual war" and uses memes and videos created, among other things, with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). The British newspaper The Guardian wrote about this on March 23.

"For this competition to be fun, it needs to be portrayed in as harmless a way as possible. And therefore, war is not about death, destruction, catastrophic economic and geopolitical consequences, but about winning, a victorious gesture," the publication says.

The Guradian notes that in this way ordinary Americans cannot maintain a sense of empathy for people dying as a result of the conflict in the Middle East.

On March 12, the official White House account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) published a video in which the recordings of strikes on Iranian facilities are stylized as sports video games. The footage captures the moments of missile aiming, and congratulatory banners from sports video games appear on the screen at the moment of hitting the target.
