Groups in Iraq have extended their promise not to attack the US Embassy in Baghdad.
Shiite groups operating in Iraq have extended their commitment not to attack the US Embassy in Baghdad for five days. This was reported on March 23 by TASS with reference to the statement of the Islamic Resistance of Iraq alliance.
The terms of the cease-fire were Israel's promises not to strike the southern suburbs of Beirut, the withdrawal of CIA personnel from the embassy, and the United States and Israel pledged not to attack residential areas in Baghdad and other provinces of Iraq.
The groups first committed to suspending attacks for five days on Thursday, March 19, before the Eid al-Adha holiday.
