The incidence of acute respiratory viral infections has increased in the Lipetsk region

In the Lipetsk region, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections increased by 14% in 1 week. Last week, 4,821 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in the region, including six cases of influenza.

According to GOROD48, with reference to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, the indicator remains below the level of the epidemic threshold by 37%.

Most people suffer from acute respiratory viral infections in Lipetsk. The capital of the region accounts for 62% of cases. Non-influenza viruses and H3N2 influenza viruses are circulating among the local population.

From March 16 to March 22, coronavirus was detected in 38 people. The incidence remains at the level of the previous week.

Earlier, on March 17, it was reported that the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in Russia fell by 5% in a week. According to Rospotrebnadzor, 639 thousand cases of viral infection have been registered. It is noted that the indicator corresponds to the level of mid-October last year. Also, about 4,000 cases of COVID-19 were detected the week before last.
