Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak learned about the lawsuit filed against her for flooding the apartment from the media. This was reported to Izvestia on March 23 by her lawyer Elena Chernova.

"We found out about it thanks to you, in the media, that we filed a lawsuit," she said.

Chernova did not comment on the essence of the claim, as she had not yet read its contents. For this reason, the meeting was postponed.

A source told Izvestia about the claim of the insurance company to the Moscow court against Sobchak and another defendant for flooding the apartment on March 19. In a petition sent in October 2025, the applicant estimated the damage at more than 166 thousand rubles, which he asked the defendants to collect jointly. It was noted that the hearing in the case was scheduled to take place on March 23. In November last year, a court in Moscow granted the fourth claim of the capital's Apartment Building Renovation Fund for the recovery of utility bills from the same journalist. At that time, the amount of payments was not mentioned.
