A court in Moscow fined Telegram 10.5 million rubles.
The Tagansky District Court of Moscow has brought the Telegram messenger to administrative responsibility for refusing to remove content prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation. This was reported on March 23 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The court reviewed the materials on two episodes. A fine of 7 million rubles was imposed under Part 4 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, and 3.5 million rubles under Part 2 of the same article.
It was established that the messenger did not comply with the requirements for deleting information prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation.
