A wheelchair user who brutally beat the 11-year-old child of his roommate with a bat in the Moscow region was sentenced to 14 years in a penal colony. This was reported on March 23 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

It is noted that the court decided to recover 1.7 million rubles from the defendant in the case in favor of the children.

The cohabitant of the accused was also sentenced to seven years in prison.

In July 2025, a video appeared online showing a 31-year—old man hitting a child with a bat - the video was published by the aggressor himself. The boy and two other children were removed from the family and sent for treatment. It later turned out that the mother of many children also participated in systematic torture — according to the injured child, among other things, the woman poured boiling water over him. Multiple bruises, bruises and burns were found on the boy's body.
