In Moscow, at Cherkizovskaya metro station, a man sprayed pepper spray in a woman's face because she took a large number of newspapers. This was announced on March 23 in the press service of the Moscow Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to the agency, the suspect was laying out newspapers on special stands in the station lobby and noticed a woman who came up to pick up many copies at once.

"Since the citizen had repeatedly committed such acts before, the man became indignant and sprayed the contents of a pepper spray can in her face, after which he left," the agency's website says.

The victim turned to the police and the hospital for help. Doctors diagnosed her with a chemical eye burn. The police identified the suspect and detained him in the Driveway. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.

The Cheremushkinsky District Court of Moscow chose a measure of restraint on February 13 in the form of limiting certain actions to a man who broke the nose of a passenger on the Moscow metro. According to the court's decision, the man is not allowed to leave the Moscow region and communicate with other people questioned in the criminal case. The incident occurred on February 3 at the Kitay-Gorod metro station.
