Rocket with the logo of the "Space Week" went into space

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progress-MS33 cargo ship, which headed to the International Space Station, took place at the Baikonur cosmodrome. A special feature of the upcoming launch was the placement of the official logo of the Space Week on the head fairing of the rocket.

Space Week 2026 is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's legendary flight. The emblem is based on the symbolic number 65, a circle around the Earth and Gagarin's famous "Let's go!". Sending the emblem into space will be a landmark event and the official launch of a large-scale program.

The first Space Week in the history of Russia will be held from April 6 to April 12, 2026. The decree on the annual holding of this event was signed by the President of Russia on December 29, 2025. The organizer is the State Corporation Roscosmos.
