Over the past 24 hours, air defense systems have destroyed more than 60 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Leningrad Region The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on March 23 by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko.
"Over 60 UAVs were destroyed in the Leningrad region in less than a day," the head of the region wrote on the MAX messenger.
According to Drozdenko, one of the drones damaged a power transmission pole near the village of Ermilovo in the Vyborg district. Dry grass is being extinguished in the field at the site of the fall. It is clarified that the repulse of the attack continues.
Prior to that, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that 249 UAVs were destroyed overnight by the air defense forces. It was clarified that the drones were shot down over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Pskov, Smolensk, Tver, Tula regions, the Moscow region and over the Sea of Azov.
