The volume of "bad" mortgages (overdue for more than 90 days) in Russia has reached a record 296.4 billion rubles. This was reported on March 23 in the Scoring Bureau.
"The figure for the month increased by 4.3%, to a record 296.4 billion rubles. At the same time, in annual terms, the volume of bad mortgages in the country increased almost 1.8 times," the organization told RIA Novosti.
The total number of mortgages with such delinquencies in February approached the 100 thousand mark. The value has increased 1.5 times in a year.
Analysts at Scoring Bureau said on February 27 that in Russia, the cost of servicing credit cards reached 50.1% in the fourth quarter of 2025. It is noted that over the year, the total cost of the loan in this segment jumped by 17.5 percentage points. The previous surge in rates was observed in the spring of 2022, when the UC rose to 34.9% amid a sharp increase in the key rate.
