On April 9, a meeting with the legendary Russian cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Volkov will take place in the portrait lobby of the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater. The event will take place on the eve of Cosmonautics Day and will be timed to coincide with the screening of the play "Cosmos" by Igor Teplov. This was reported on March 23 on the official Internet portal of Moscow. mos.ru .

"Alexander Volkov is known for making three flights into orbit with a total duration of 391 days and twice went into outer space. He went down in history as the head of the world's first space dynasty: his son Sergey Volkov also chose the profession of cosmonaut and was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation," the publication says.

During the meeting, artist Philip Trushin will present Volkov with his sculptural portrait.

The thematic performance tells the story of Tatiana, an English teacher who leads a monotonous life in a small provincial town. The situation changes quickly when the heroine finds out that her former classmate and first love, and now the famous cosmonaut, is coming to the city.

"The main role in the play is played by Victoria Isakova. Actors Anton Grashchenkov, Irina Byakova, Sergey Lanbamin, Natalia Korogodova, Sergey Miller, Nikita Pirozhkov, Oleg Grekov, Tatiana Romanova, Natalia Reva-Ryadinskaya, Nikolai Strelnikov and Sergey Zyryanov are also involved in the production," the organizers said.

Production designer Olga Kuznetsova worked on the creation of the play. The lighting designer was Maxim Biryukov, and the visual artist was Andrey Gorlachev. Oleg Grekov was also responsible for the musical design of the production.

Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina said on March 20 that the annual "Night of Theaters" event will be held in Moscow from March 27 to 28. Performances, meetings with artists, film screenings, lectures and other events will be held within its framework. The audience of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theater will be introduced to the works of such famous cultural figures of the first half of the 20th century as Konstantin Stanislavsky, Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko and Vsevolod Meyerhold.
