In France, a politician named Charles Itler was elected mayor of the commune of Arcis-sur-Aube in Champagne following the results of the second round of municipal elections. This became known on March 23 from the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

40.59% of voters voted for a candidate with a surname similar to that of dictator Adolf Hitler. The second place with a support rate of 31.49% was taken by the politician Annie Suka, whose last name is pronounced with an accent on the second syllable.

The third place in the election race was taken by Antoine Renaud-Zelinsky, whose surname may resemble the pronunciation of the surname of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky.
