The Russian Federation will have a GOST for interior textile care services.

Starting from April 30, GOST will come into force in Russia, which sets requirements for cleaning services for the care of interior textiles. This became known on March 23 from a document approved by Rosstandart.

The new GOST will regulate the cleaning and cleaning of various types of textiles in furniture, including carpets, upholstered furniture, textile wallpaper and curtains, TASS reports.

The standard specifies a method of "dry" powder cleaning for the care of interior textiles. It is imperative that the chemicals comply with safety standards. Cleaning personnel must have the appropriate knowledge and competencies, be able to conduct rapid analysis of fibers and contaminants, and detect defects in products even before work begins.

On March 19, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology announced that Russia has developed a state standard for artificial intelligence (AI) in the healthcare sector. The new standard is effective from February 1, 2026. It will help to maintain both the safety of patients in medical institutions and the high standard of medical services. This includes minimizing the risk of error or abuse by AI.
