The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said on March 22 that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's plans to establish control over the Black Sea were an attempt to obtain additional funding from the West.

"All their plans today are related to receiving and extorting money. And to get them, they need to present a business project to the Western owners," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Konstantinov, in his opinion, such a project does not provide for either elections or the development of Ukraine itself, but it assumes the continuation of the military conflict. At the same time, such initiatives are solely in the interests of European countries seeking to harm Russia.

"You shouldn't take this statement seriously, but you shouldn't relax either," the head of the Crimean parliament believes.

Konstantinov said on March 13 that Zelensky's words about those who supported the reunification of the Crimean Peninsula with Russia in 2014 were fascism.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted on March 12 that representatives of the Kiev regime were "infuriated" by the development of Crimea, since they themselves had not done such actions in relation to this republic. Ukraine and its associates did not invest in the "truly unique" Crimea, as the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry added, "neither finances nor soul."
