Air defense systems destroyed two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Leningrad region. This was announced on March 22 by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko.
"The air defense forces destroyed 2 UAVs over the Leningrad region. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or damage," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
On the same day, the governor warned residents of the Leningrad region about a possible decrease in Internet speed due to the declared danger of UAVs.
On the afternoon of March 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems shot down 74 drones within six hours. So, 40 drones were destroyed over the Bryansk region, 19 over the Smolensk region. Eight UAVs were eliminated over the Tula region, four over Kaluga, two over Kursk and one over the Republic of Bashkortostan.
