Dmitriev revealed the future scenario of the fuel crisis in Europe
The European Union (EU) and the UK will introduce fuel rationing due to the crisis. Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of Russia for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, told about this on March 22.
"As predicted, fuel rationing is inevitable in the UK and the EU. Even critics must admit that all my predictions come true," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
As Dmitriev noted, politicians and the media in the West recognize the problem with a delay of four to six weeks. According to him, the real crisis will become apparent to the public of the UK and the EU in two to three weeks. The special representative called the fuel situation in Europe a cruel reality.
On March 21, the International Energy Agency (IEA) recommended that governments abandon flights whenever possible and switch to using electric stoves instead of gas stoves in order to reserve reserves of liquefied natural gas.
Atif Kubursi, a professor of economics at McMaster University, told Izvestia on March 18 that the conflict in the Middle East had become a serious blow to the global economy. According to the expert, this was influenced by the import tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump and the special operation of the United States and Israel on Iran, which disrupted oil supplies through the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
