Tomshina wins the mass start at the Russian Biathlon Championships

Russian biathlete Anastasia Tomshina won the 12.5 km mass start at the Russian Championships in Tyumen on March 22.

The athlete covered the distance in 37 minutes and 42.2 seconds, without making a single miss at the firing lines, Sport-Express pointed out.

Anastasia Khalili took the second place, losing 28.9 seconds to the winner. She made five mistakes. Victoria Slivko became the third, who made two mistakes and was 29.1 seconds behind.

On the same day, the men's relay race ended in Tyumen at the Russian Biathlon Championships, and the first national team of Belarus won. The foursome of Anton Smolsky, Maxim Voroby, Ivan Tulatin and Dmitry Lazovsky covered the distance in 1 hour, 12 minutes, 1.9 seconds. The silver medals were won by the Moscow Region team (-12.5 seconds). The third place was taken by the first national team of the Sverdlovsk region, which lost 44.1 seconds to the winners.
