A Turkish soldier and two technical staff of the Turkish company ASELSAN were killed in a helicopter crash in Qatar. This was announced on March 22 by the Ministry of Defense of the country.

"Four soldiers of the Qatari Armed Forces, one soldier of the Turkish Armed Forces and two ASELSAN technicians who were on board were killed in the helicopter crash," a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The ministry clarified that rescuers had found the wreckage and bodies of the dead. The exact cause of the accident will be determined after an investigation by the Qatari authorities.

On the same day, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Qatar reported that a helicopter of the country's Armed Forces crashed into the sea. At the same time, they announced the start of a search for crew members and passengers. Qatar's Interior Ministry later reported that rescuers had found the bodies of six of the seven people aboard the military helicopter. The deaths of those found have been confirmed, and the search for the last missing person continues by specialized units.
