The State Duma announced the expansion of the powers of the FMBA

Starting on March 30, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) will have the opportunity, in coordination with the Russian Ministry of Sports, to approve the procedure for preparing methodological recommendations on medical and biological support for athletes of regional national teams, including adaptive sports. This was announced on March 22 by the head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Sergei Leonov (LDPR).

"Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has signed a decree that expands the powers of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) in the adoption of regulatory legal acts in the field of sports medicine and testing of special equipment. According to the document, the FMBA will be able to approve, in coordination with the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the procedure for developing guidelines for the medical and biological support of athletes from regional national teams, including adaptive sports," Leonov told RIA Novosti.
