The lawyer reminded about the new rules for registration of installments from April 1.

From April 1, only companies that will be included in the special register of installment service operators maintained by the Central Bank (CB) will be able to provide installment payments to customers. Alexander Khaminsky, a lawyer and head of the law enforcement center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, told about this on March 22.

"In accordance with the new law, the Bank of Russia will maintain a register of installment payment service operators, only from the moment of entry into which the operator company will be entitled to provide installment payments to customers. A maximum penalty is being introduced, which cannot exceed 20% per annum of the amount of overdue debt owed by the service user," he told RIA Novosti.
