Argentina offered to supply oil and gas to the EU

Argentina is able to provide the European Union (EU) with energy supplies. This was announced on March 22 by Argentine President Javier Miley.

"We are witnessing a gold rush in the field of energy investments. Imagine that in 2030 we will export more than $30 billion a year," Miley said at the international Conference of Conservative Political Action in Budapest.

The Argentine leader stressed that Argentina has sufficient reserves of oil and gas to act as a reliable supplier.

Europeans won't be able to afford to fill up their car soon.

Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said on March 19 that a sharp rise in oil and gas prices could lead to serious negative consequences for the European economy. According to Dmitriev, the current situation on the energy market is a consequence of the refusal of the European authorities to cooperate with Russia in the energy sector.
