Lavrov demanded that the United States respect Russia beyond its wealth

The United States must take into account Russia's interests and respect the country not only based on "Russian wealth," but also beyond its borders. This was announced on March 21 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"The Americans will come to us and say that they are in favor of cooperating with us. But if we are ready to carry out mutually beneficial projects on our territory and provide Americans with what they are interested in, taking into account our interests, then they should take into account ours. We don't see it yet. Outside of Russian wealth, they should also be respected," the minister said in an interview with the OTR TV channel.

Lavrov added that Washington had already stated at the official level that "no one ordered them." This unusual situation brings the countries back to a period when there was no framework for international relations yet.

"It was said bluntly that the interests of the United States prevail over any international agreements," he added.
