The FSB showed footage of the detention of a person who issued 1,000 SIM cards on behalf of the State Security Service of Ukraine

An operational surveillance was conducted for a man detained in Saransk, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, issued 1,000 SIM cards in his name. Footage of the arrest on March 21 was published by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

The footage shows that after the man walked past a parked car with FSB officers inside, the operatives got out and detained him.

"I have provided confidential assistance to the citizens of Ukraine. The cooperation consisted in the fact that I transferred access to virtual PBX and SIM cards, personal accounts that I registered with Russian mobile operators," the detainee said.

During the interrogation, the man admitted that he initially refused the offer, but then agreed, because "they explained to him that there was nothing illegal in this" — the only consequence could be the blocking of numbers by the operator.

Foreign citizens are suspected of illegally delivering large shipments of drones.

On the same day, the FSB of Russia detained a local resident in Saransk, who, on the instructions of the main intelligence directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, issued 1,000 SIM cards in his name. The numbers were used for remote fraud against Russians, as well as planning and carrying out subversive activities.
