Europe's decision to abandon international law, actually adopted at the EU summit that ended, will complicate its position in the confrontation with Russia. The German newspaper Junge Welt writes about this on March 21.

"The fact that the EU claims legal freedom at a time when it itself is experiencing difficulties, and its members are hindering what is considered a decisive struggle against Russia, <...> makes the union's position only more dangerous," the publication said in a commentary on the European Commission's decision on the US attack on Iran.

The author of the article noted that the current behavior of the West on the world stage has acquired a criminal character. According to him, European leaders condemned Iran's resistance, while allowing their allies to wage aggressive wars, violate the laws of war at their discretion, while their opponent is not allowed to defend himself. He acknowledged that such EU logic resembles mafia logic.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, speaking at a rally on March 20, said that military fanaticism prevailed in the European Commission (EC). Szijjarto also stated that Budapest does not want to send soldiers and weapons, and is also not going to finance Kiev with the money of the Hungarian people. He noted that his country is against Ukraine as part of the European Union (EU).
