Cuba refused a request from American diplomats to import fuel.
The Cuban government has rejected a request from the U.S. diplomatic mission to import diesel fuel needed to operate the embassy's generators. This was reported by The Washington Post on March 21, citing diplomatic sources.
"This week, the Cuban government denied the US Embassy in Havana a request to import diesel fuel for generators, calling the request "shameless" given the island's fuel blockade imposed by the administration of [US President Donald] Trump," the publication says.
