In Russia, it was proposed to consolidate the concept of male reproductive health at the legislative level and establish it as the age from 18 to 55 years inclusive. On March 21, Tatyana Butskaya, First deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, United Russia Party, developed such a project and sent it to the government for an opinion from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

"The period of a man's life characterized by an optimal physiological ability to reproduce offspring," TASS cites the definition.
