The population of Ukraine has decreased to 20 million people by 2025. This was announced on March 20 by the deputy editor-in-chief of the British magazine New Statesman, Will Lloyd, on the social network X.

"One British official told me that Ukraine's population, which was estimated at just over 40 million in 2014, had dropped to about 20 million by 2025, which is significantly less than most publicly available estimates," he said.
