The United States announced a strike on a drug terrorist vessel in the Pacific Ocean
The United States launched a targeted strike on a ship allegedly belonging to a drug-terrorist organization in the eastern Pacific Ocean. This was announced on March 20 by the country's Southern Military Command.
"[The group] struck a low—profile vessel in the service of a terrorist organization," a message on the social network X (Twitter) said.
The vessel followed the established drug trafficking routes. It is noted that three terrorists survived the attack.
Immediately after the attack, the military provided coordinates for a search and rescue operation and the detention of the surviving suspects. The operation was carried out on March 19 by the united Southern Spear group.
On March 8, the US Army attacked a ship in the Pacific Ocean that was allegedly used for drug smuggling. Six members of the ship's crew were killed during the strike. At the same time, none of the American servicemen were injured.
