The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, does not really need Ukrainian children in Russia. This was announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on March 20 .

"It's not easy to give it to Zelensky. He doesn't care about these children," BelTA quoted him as saying.

Lukashenko added that US First Lady Melania Trump asked him to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin and gave him a list of children who allegedly could have been lost as a result of the conflict in Russia. According to the head of Belarus, the first lady of the United States wants the children to be found and handed over to Ukraine.

On February 13, Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), noted Melania Trump's charitable activities that help reunite Ukrainian families.

In October 2025, Maria Lvova-Belova, the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, expressed her gratitude to Melania, the wife of the American leader Donald Trump, for her attention to children affected by the conflict in Ukraine. She also expressed the hope that Melania Trump, who has joined the regular work of the Russian Federation to reunite children with their loved ones, will continue to participate in this mission.
