Analysts named the share of domestic trucks in the secondary market

According to the Avito Goods service, in January-February 2026, engines and their components accounted for the largest share of sales in the truck spare parts market — 27%. Another 15% is accounted for by spare parts for cargo cabins, 14% for electronics and lighting, and 12% for transmission parts. At the same time, analysts noted that the demand for truck maintenance services increased by 62% year—on-year, and the supply increased 2.5 times.
At the beginning of 2026, products from the Chinese (40.9%) and Russian (38.6%) automotive industries were most often on sale. Moreover, over the year, the share of domestic trucks increased by 4 percentage points, and Chinese — by 2.3 percentage points. Japanese (7%), Belarusian (4.7%) and German (2.6%) trucks also entered the top five in terms of supply.
The leading positions in the field of commercial vehicles are occupied by domestic brands: KAMAZ (20.7% of all offers) and GAZ (16.2%). They are followed by the Chinese Shacman (15.7%), FAW (8%) and Howo (5.6%). Among the models, the most common Special Equipment on the Avito platform are FAW J6, the Lawn Next family, Shacman X3000, KAMAZ 65115 and 43118.
"Domestic and Chinese brand vehicles are most often sold in the secondary market of commercial vehicles. Their share in the supply is growing, although still at a slow pace. Shacman and FAW are the leaders among heavy trucks, KamAZ and JAC are in the medium—tonnage segment, and GAZ and KamAZ are among the light trucks. Buyers are looking for cost-effective ways to upgrade and expand their fleets, and in conditions of expensive financing of new equipment, they purchase equipment with a working life or restore it and maintain it in working condition. A significant part of the offers are formed by leasing companies that sell seized equipment on our platform at attractive prices," said Anton Agaltsov, Director of the Sales category at Avito Special Equipment.
On March 19, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation announced that almost 1 thousand unmanned trucks will run on Russian roads by the end of 2028, and by 2030 their number will exceed 4 thousand. It is noted that the implementation of this project will not require additional modernization of the existing road infrastructure.
