The State Duma proposed allowing teachers to work remotely during the holidays
On March 20, State Duma Deputy Speaker Boris Chernyshov appealed to Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov with an initiative to allow teachers to work remotely during the holidays.
The deputy noted that during the school holidays, the working hours of teaching staff are maintained in full, while a significant part of their activities during this period are extracurricular in nature and are related to the preparation of curricula, the development of methodological materials, the review of work, the analysis of learning outcomes and the preparation of accounting documentation.
"In order to increase the efficiency of the use of working hours and create more flexible conditions for the performance of professional duties, I propose to consolidate the right of teaching staff during the vacation period to perform extracurricular work outside an educational organization in the absence of full—time tasks while maintaining the established wage level," the document quotes Lenta.Ru .
He added that he considers it necessary to exclude the requirement of compulsory attendance at an educational institution in the absence of an objective need.
According to the politician, this will increase the efficiency of teachers' working hours, reduce the level of professional burnout, create conditions for better preparation for the educational process and promote staff retention in the education system.
Earlier, on March 18, the leader of the Fair Russia party, Sergei Mironov, proposed to increase the pension rights of teachers and medical workers by increasing the coefficient. The initiative provides for the introduction of an increased individual pension coefficient of 1.5 for these categories of workers, RT reports.
