The United States has included Cuba in the list of restrictions on Russian oil
The US Treasury Department said that the temporary exemption from the sanctions regime for operations selling Russian oil does not apply to all regions. This is stated on March 20 in the updated general license published on the agency's website.
We are talking about a permit to conduct operations with oil loaded onto ships before March 12. However, as the US Treasury clarified, this relaxation does not apply to a number of Russian territories, including Crimea, as well as North Korea and Cuba.
Thus, the restrictions continue to apply to these regions and countries, despite the temporary exceptions introduced.
