The most common Chinese cars in Russia are named
In Russia, among all Chinese-made cars, Haval Jolion crossovers are the most registered. At the beginning of this year, there were 238.6 thousand copies of this model in the country, which is 7.6% of all Chinese passenger cars, the analytical agency Autostat estimated on March 20.
Haval Jolion has been a bestseller among Chinese car brands in Russia for three years in a row (from 2023 to 2025), the agency noted. The entire top ten models consist exclusively of crossovers. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max came in second place with an indicator of 130.9 thousand units (a share of 4.2%).
This is followed by two Geely models — Coolray and Monjaro (110.6 thousand and 108.1 thousand units, respectively). Behind them are the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro (101.6 thousand units), Omoda C5 (98.5 thousand units) and Haval F7 (95.2 thousand units). The share of each of these five crossovers ranges from 3% to 3.5%.
The Haval M6 (83.9 thousand units), Geely Atlas (68.3 thousand units) and Chery Tiggo 4 (63.2 thousand units) joined the top ten most common Chinese cars in Russia.
In total, according to the agency, by the beginning of 2026, 3.15 million Chinese-made passenger cars were registered, which is 6.6% of the total. In terms of fleet size, Chinese cars have surpassed French ones (2.74 million units), and by the middle of the year they will surpass American ones (3.23 million units), analysts suggested.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that by the end of February 2026, Russia became the leader in importing passenger cars from China. If in January the Russian Federation occupied the fourth place in this rating, then in February it came out on top, ahead of Brazil and the United Kingdom.
