Embezzlement of more than 68 million rubles on the state defense order was revealed in the Rostov region

Fraud in the execution of a state defense order worth more than 68 million rubles has been uncovered in the Rostov region. This was announced on March 20 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

The investigators found out that from March to November 2025, the heads of the organization from enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) provided the customer with incorrect information for accounting documents when executing government contracts.

"As a result of illegal actions, funds totaling over 68 million rubles were stolen. A suspect has been detained, a resident of Rostov—on-Don, who is the founder and de facto head of this enterprise," the Telegram channel says.

After searches in the office premises and at the places of residence of the person involved, accounting and financial documents, communications equipment, bank cards and other evidentiary items were seized, the Newspaper added.Ru». Criminal cases have been initiated under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").

The suspect is in custody. To compensate for the damage caused, the property of the defendant was seized in the amount of more than 72 million rubles.

In total, 700 similar criminal cases were initiated in 2025, and 10 billion rubles were returned to the budget.

On March 9, a court in Moscow arrested the former deputy director for procurement and logistics of the Kalashnikov concern, who is accused of fraud on an especially large scale in the execution of the state defense order for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It was noted that the person involved could face up to 10 years in prison.
