Stable warm weather, which persists in the capital region for the third week in a row under the influence of an anticyclone, will last until the end of the month. Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service's crisis Management department, announced this on Friday, March 20.

The forecaster said that a blurred atmospheric front is coming from the west and northeast, which may give a little rain, but mostly there will be no precipitation.

"We are in the warm Atlantic air, so daytime temperatures remain high — on Friday it is expected from +10 to +12 degrees, and in places up to +14 degrees in the center. At night — from -5 to 0 degrees, and on Tuesday and Wednesday it will become even warmer — from -3 to +2 degrees. The air temperature is 4-6 degrees above normal. We have entered the third week of abnormally warm and dry weather," Tsygankov told the Moscow City News agency.

The specialist added that the snow cover in Moscow continues to melt.

"There are 29 cm of snow left, it melts slowly — about 2 cm per day. If such a high temperature persists, then, according to all mathematics, the snow is unlikely to completely melt by the end of March," Tsygankov said.

In addition, the meteorologist noted that the region is in an area of high pressure under the influence of an anticyclone. The pressure on March 20 corresponds to 750 mmHg, on Saturday, March 21 — 756 mm, and by Wednesday, March 25, it will drop to 744 mm.

Earlier in the day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that cloudy weather is expected in Moscow and the Moscow region on March 20, mostly without precipitation, IA Regnum reports. In the evening, forecasters predict light ice, according to the website. kp.ru .

On the weekend of March 21 and 22— Muscovites expect mostly clear weather without precipitation. The temperature will range from -1 to +9 degrees. Yandex Weather forecasters told Izvestia about this on March 20.
