Filaret, the former primate of the schismatic Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) of the Kiev Patriarchate, has died at the age of 97. This was reported on March 20 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

"The head of the UOC of the Kiev Patriarchate, Filaret, has died, said the primate of the OCU, Metropolitan Epiphanius," the publication said in a Telegram channel message.
