Warming to +17 degrees and snow predicted in Irkutsk region

Weather forecasters predict a temperature rise to +17 degrees in the Irkutsk region over the weekend. Snow is possible in some areas.

According to IrkutskMedia news agency, on the night of March 21 it will be -5...-10 degrees, in Katanga and Kiren districts up to -27 degrees. The air temperature during the day will be +3...+8 degrees. The wind speed will increase to 15-18 m/s. Precipitation in the form of snow and sleet will occur in some places.

On March 22, the air temperature at night will be -3...-8 degrees, with clearings up to -18 degrees. During the day, the air will warm up to +7...+12 degrees. In the mountains of Eastern Sayan and southern Baikal, the air will warm up to +17 degrees.

A new temperature record was recorded in Kurgan on March 19. The air warmed up to +8.9 degrees.
