Employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) have detained a Ukrainian citizen involved in the activities of one of the nationalist battalions. This was announced on March 20 by the press service of the department.

"The FSB of Russia in the Luhansk People's Republic has suppressed the illegal activities of a citizen of Ukraine, a member of one of the Ukrainian nationalist battalions," TASS quoted the text of the message.

The investigation established that the detainee was a member of the terrorist community and took part in its activities. According to the agency, the structure is involved in the commission of a number of war crimes on the territory of Donbass.

A criminal case has been initiated and is being investigated against the man on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Participation in a terrorist organization").

On the same day, the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC) reported that an agent from Kiev who was about to blow up the car of an official of the administration was detained in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). According to the agency, the detainee contacted representatives of the Ukrainian special services via the Internet and received a task from them to blow up the car of one of the officials of the DPR administration.
