The publication notes that in order to approve a coin, it must be approved by several bodies, including the Citizens' Advisory Committee on Coinage (CCAC). However, CCAC rejected this initiative last month.

The TV channel added that the Treasury considers the decision already made, referring to the fact that all the listed bodies have only an advisory function.
