- The SF told about the combination of data in a fraudulent scheme for applying for a loan
Applying for a loan in someone else's name is usually not the result of a single document leaking into the public domain, but a combination of several data about a person's identity. This was announced on March 20 by the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and state Building, Artyom Sheikin.
"Scammers operate on the principle of "putting together a puzzle": the more information they have, the higher the probability of a successful scheme. Of course, passport data remains the key element — series, number, full name, date of birth and registration address. In a number of online services, especially in the segment of microfinance organizations, this may already be enough to apply," he said in an interview with RT.
