Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha on March 20.
On March 20, Russian Muslims celebrate one of the main Islamic holidays, Eid al—Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan and strict fasting.
In 2026, the fast lasted from the evening of February 18 to the evening of March 19. During this period, believers abstained from eating and drinking during daylight hours — from dawn to dusk. With the advent of Eid al‑Adha, all restrictions are lifted, and Muslims can eat and drink during the day again.
