Russian military personnel spoke about the progress of the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk

Soldiers of the 30th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces told new details of the fighting during the liberation of the city of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the area of the special military operation. This was announced on March 20 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

During the defense of Krasnoarmeysk, the enemy created a strong line of defense, which consisted of several echelons. The assault teams overcame anti-tank trenches, open areas and wire fences, acting covertly and using thermal imaging ponchos.

Coordinated actions made it possible to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the city and advance deeper, knocking out the enemy. In addition, the soldiers used captured radio stations to mislead him.

"The enemy did not understand where we came from, in general, he did not have an understanding of where people were missing from them, they were in touch, but now they are not," said company commander Alexander Rabotalov.

Part of the brigade's units moved forward and cut off the garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from reinforcements from Grishino. The soldiers fought off attacks from two sides and, showing courage and professionalism, completed the task by destroying the landing troops.

Another part of the units was fighting their way towards the city center. The Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers surrendered, and civilians met the Russian fighters and reported on the enemy's positions.

In the battles, the Russian military was opposed by both trained units and untrained mobilized ones. The enemy tried to dislodge the Russian stormtroopers from the city, but this did not prevent the installation of the Russian national flag on the western stele of Krasnoarmeysk.

It is noted that military police patrols of the Center group of forces have been organized in Krasnoarmeysk, assistance is being provided to the local population, and drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are shooting down air surveillance posts. Soldiers of the 30th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade continue to carry out combat missions, liberating the DPR from Ukrainian armed formations.
