The Islamic State group (IS, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) has entered a recovery phase amid the escalation of conflict in the Middle East. This was announced on March 19 by Rasul Omar Latif, commander of the Kurdish Peshmerga militia.

"In one of the rare interviews, the commander-in-chief of the northern Iraqi Peshmerga units stated that the Islamic State had already entered the recovery phase, which would have fatal consequences. The war with Iran is destabilizing the region and opening up new opportunities for terrorist organizations," Die Welt newspaper reports.
