Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will refrain from attacking Iran's oil and gas fields. This was announced on March 19 by US President Donald Trump to reporters at the White House.

"Yes, I spoke with him (Netanyahu – Ed.). I told him, "Don't do this." And he won't do it," he told reporters.

Trump stressed that the United States and Israel maintain close coordination of their actions, despite the preservation of the political independence of each side.

On March 18, the Israeli Air Force attacked the largest gas processing plant in the Islamic Republic. Several facilities were disabled, and a fire broke out on the spot. On the night of March 19, Trump said that the United States and Qatar were not involved in the attack. He noted that Iran does not know about the non-involvement of the United States and Qatar, allegedly in connection with which it is attacking part of the Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant.
