The Ministry of Finance did not support the adjustment of the excise tax on steel
Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov said that the agency does not support any adjustments to the excise tax on steel, since revenues from it have already been budgeted for a three-year period. On March 19, he told reporters on the sidelines of the Fifth Anniversary St. Petersburg Tax Forum.
"We believe that nothing needs to be adjusted. The budget has been adopted for a three—year period," RIA Novosti quoted Sazanov as saying.
Sazanov explained that the budget for the next three years has already included certain revenues from the excise tax on steel, so it is impossible to abandon them now. In this regard, the Ministry of Finance does not support any adjustments to the calculation formula.
On March 16, it became known that since the beginning of the Middle East conflict, gasoline prices have increased by 10% and diesel prices by 14%. The cost of AI-92 on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange at the close of trading on March 13 was 65.19 thousand rubles per 1 ton, AI-95 — 68.95 thousand, and summer diesel — 63.45 thousand. Whereas on February 27, the 92nd cost 59.26 thousand rubles, the 95th — 62.68 thousand, and the diesel — 55.52 thousand rubles.
