Traffic on the central streets of Moscow has been restored
Traffic on the Kremlin Embankment, Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge and Tverskaya Street has been restored. The press service of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development announced this on Thursday, March 19.
"Traffic is open on the Kremlin Embankment, on the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge, on Tverskaya Street," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message.
Earlier in the day, traffic was temporarily blocked on several central streets of the capital. Drivers were asked to be careful when setting routes.
Moscow motorists were urged to stop traveling by car during rush hours on Thursday, March 19, due to local restrictions in the city, Moscow 24 writes.
The Muslim celebration of Eid al-Fitr, also known as Eid al-Fitr, is annually accompanied by large-scale events. In 2026, it falls on March 20th. Traffic restrictions are being introduced in major Russian cities during the holiday.
