EU countries have expressed their willingness to support security in the Strait of Hormuz

Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Japan have declared their readiness to ensure the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz amid the conflict with Iran. This was announced on March 19 on the website of the European Council.

"We express our readiness to contribute to appropriate measures to ensure safe passage through the strait. We welcome the commitment of the countries involved in preparatory planning," the statement says, according to The Guardian.
