- The special guests of the gala concert of the VIII BraVo Awards at the Bolshoi Theater have become known
There is less than a month left until one of the most grandiose events in the world of classical music — the gala concert of the VIII International Professional Music Award BraVo, which will take place on April 14 on the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theater. Special guests of the evening will be two outstanding artists who embody the greatness and beauty of the Russian classical school: prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Svetlana Zakharova and opera diva, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Aida Garifullina.
The BraVo Award, supported by Radio Monte Carlo, has been bringing academic music and the general public together on one stage for eight years, turning Moscow into a center for international cultural dialogue. Every year, the ceremony gathers world opera and ballet stars, becoming the most long-awaited event of spring for all connoisseurs of beauty. The participation of Svetlana Zakharova and Aida Garifullina will be a true decoration of the evening and a confirmation of the highest status of the award.
Svetlana Zakharova is a name inscribed in golden letters in the history of world ballet. Prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater, People's Artist of Russia, winner of countless awards, she conquered the stages of the Mariinsky Theater, La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera and many others. Her roles in "Giselle", "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty" and "The Lady with Camellias" have become a standard of grace, technical perfection and deep drama.
"There are practically no prizes in the field of classical art, excluding state ones. Therefore, the BraVo Award is an important and necessary event that makes classical music closer to the audience and makes new viewers fall in love with it. I am very happy to take part in this ceremony. I've been with the award since its inception, and I've always supported it," says Prima about the ceremony.
The star–studded cast of the ceremony will be complemented by Aida Garifullina, an opera singer whose soprano voice is listened to with equal awe in the best halls of the world, from the Vienna Opera to the Royal Covent Garden Theater. An Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, she captivated the international audience not only with her vocal skills, but also with her rare stage charisma. Aida gained worldwide fame as Natasha Rostova on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, Musetta in Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème, which she performed in Paris, London and Vienna, and, of course, Violetta in La Traviata in the famous production by Franco Zeffirelli at the Arena di Verona Opera Festival.
Seeing two divas on the same stage is a unique opportunity for every connoisseur of classical art. And the upcoming BraVo Award is a rare chance that should not be missed.
The gala concert prepares other impressive performances and prominent names for the audience. Very soon, the organizers will announce the composition of the foreign stars of the award, as well as name another special guest, whose participation in the ceremony will be a gift for the audience.
